Emerging Technology Risk Service Leader


As KPMG’s Advisory Practice Leader in New England and Upstate New York, Cyndi oversees 425 professionals across two dozen service lines and is responsible for growing the practice, collaborating across functions, team-building, and identifying, developing, mentoring and retaining top talent.

Cyndi has more than 20 years of management advisory and business experience with a current focus on information security and privatization. Within Advisory, Cyndi serves as the National Cyber Strategy and Governance practice leader.  As well as the US Privacy Leader.  In this role she is responsible for the development and continue improvement of the following six areas of Cyber services:

— Cyber maturity assessment (CMA)

— Compliance assessment

— Cyber security strategy – target operating model/metrics and reporting

— Information governance and privacy

— Third-party security risk management

— Business resilience

As the S&G Pillar Leader, she also oversees the training, development and utilization of over 160+ professionals at all levels.    

Her role is helping clients understand how best to align their cyber agenda with their dynamic business and compliance priorities.

Professional and industry experience

As a Cyber engagement leader, Cyndi provides information security expertise and helps companies to protect their information and data systems and establish continuity and data recovery services.  She also provides subject matter knowledge and guidance on information security & privatization regulations and contract compliance.  More specifically, she helps organizations in transforming their security function into business - enabling platforms so they can understand, prioritize, and manage their cybersecurity risks, take control of uncertainty, increase agility, and convert risk into advantage.
