The outcome of the November 6 midterm elections could have a big impact on the course of the Congressional tax agenda. On Thursday, November 8, at 2:00 p.m. (U.S. EST), KPMG’s Tax Governance Institute (TGI) will host an hour-long audio webcast to explore what these results may mean for domestic and multinational companies.
News media, business executives and others with an interest in tax reform are invited to attend.
The TGI audio webcast will look at how the post-midterm makeup of the House and Senate could affect the future of U.S. tax reform and its ongoing implementation as Treasury and the IRS continue to release a stream of related guidance and proposed regulations.
It will also consider the possible road ahead for what Republicans are billing as Tax Reform 2.0, which has passed the House. Prospects for additional legislation and technical corrections will be on the agenda as well.
The speakers on the webcast will be Washington National Tax Principal in Charge Manal Corwin, along with Principal John Gimigliano and Director Jennifer Gray, both with WNT’s Federal Legislative & Regulatory Services group.
