KPMG’s board-facing initiatives, part of the firm’s focus on strengthening corporate governance in the boardroom, have new leadership.
KPMG Audit Partner Scott Flynn succeeded Dennis Whalen as leader of the KPMG Board Leadership Center (BLC), effective April 1, completing the planned leadership transitions for the firm’s board-facing initiatives, including the Audit Committee Institute (ACI) and WomenCorporateDirectors Foundation (WCD).
The BLC is part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to help address the critical challenges shaping business and board agendas. The BLC, along with the ACI and WCD engages with directors and business leaders to articulate critical boardroom challenges—from risk, strategy, talent, and technology to geopolitical uncertainty, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, and financial reporting.
In October, KPMG Audit Partner John Rodi succeeded Audit Partner Jose Rodriguez as leader of the ACI, and KPMG Audit Partner Camille Asaro succeeded Tax Partner Nancy Calderon as leader of KPMG’s global relationship with the WCD Foundation. Jose Rodriguez will continue to support audit committees and other board activities, including the Latino Corporate Directors Association, where he serves on the board of directors.
