KPMG LLP celebrates 15 years of KFFL

April 24, 2023, NEW YORK - KPMG LLP, the tax, audit and advisory firm, is celebrating the 15th anniversary of KPMG Family for Literacy (KFFL). To mark this exciting milestone, KPMG is proud to announce the KFFL Lighting the Way for Literacy program, which will provide more than 33,000 books and supplies to students and educators across the country during National Library Week from April 24 to 28.

During this week, KPMG U.S. offices will participate in book distribution events at local schools, libraries, and organizations to provide books to children in need to instill a lifelong love for learning and literacy.

The mission of KFFL, a fund of the KPMG U.S. Foundation, is to eradicate childhood illiteracy by putting new books and educational resources into the hands of children in need and develop the next generation of young leaders through reading. Since its inception, KFFL, in collaboration with the nonprofit social enterprise First Book, has distributed more than 6.5 million new books to children in low-income communities. KFFL is an important part of KPMG’s ongoing commitment to act with urgency and purpose to support organizations, programs, and initiatives that advance equity and access among underrepresented groups.
