KPMG names Angie Gildea leader of U.S. energy, natural resources & chemicals practice

KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, has named Angie Gildea national sector leader for its Energy, Natural Resources & Chemicals (ENRC) practice. She succeeds Regina Mayor, who held the role for five years and continues to serve as the global head of Energy and Natural Resources, as well as the Advisory industry leader for ENRC in the United States.

“Angie is the right leader at the right time to oversee our firm’s growing energy practice,” said Tandra Jackson, Vice Chair of Growth and Strategy at KPMG LLP. “She’ll lead the development of new solutions that help our clients address some of the more complex and impactful changes that the past year has brought on for so many companies across the energy industry. Our clients will continue to be well-served with Angie at the helm.”

Gildea, who is based in the Houston office, has more than 20 years of experience and brings deep energy industry knowledge to her new role. She joined KPMG in 2014 as a principal, with more than a decade of providing industry and technology solutions primarily in the oil and gas sector. Gildea notably serves many of the industry’s most successful oil and gas companies.

“Though 2020 has been a year for the ages, the energy industry has proven time and again that it is resilient,” said Gildea. “I’m confident that as many of the traditional oil and gas companies begin to embrace elements of the energy transition, and continue to drive efficiencies within their operating models, they’ll emerge well-positioned for future growth and success.”

Gildea earned her B.S. in biomedical science from Texas A&M University.
