When Jackie Gordon first arrived in the United States from Hong Kong to start her two-year rotation as a senior associate at KPMG, she never expected she’d grow her career here.
“I didn’t have any family or friends here. But this experience helped me grow and mature exponentially, personally and professionally,” she reflected.
Fast-forward 20 years, and she’s now an Audit partner and co-leader of the Audit Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council.
In this edition of KPMG Voices, Jackie discusses her deep gratitude for her mentors. They provided guidance, challenged her to get out of her comfort zone, saw her potential and helped advance her career. She is committed to paying it forward by mentoring high school students and helping grow the next generation of Audit leaders.
As a DEI leader and a member of the Asian Pacific Islander Business Resource Group, Jackie also champions DEI at KPMG. In the video, she shares what API Heritage Month means to her.
Through heartwarming and personal testimonials, Voices is a series that tells stories of how KPMG people are making a difference in their communities.
