Diversity improves corporate decision making

By Jose R. Rodriguez

As a newly-elected member of the Latino Corporate Directors Association, I’m eager to work toward greater diversity in U.S. boardrooms and increased Latino representation on corporate boards.

Diversity improves decision making. As a member of the LCDA, I know how hard they work to advocate for greater diversity in U.S. boardrooms, and for increated Latino representation on corporate boards.

My work with the LCDA complements my role as partner in charge of KPMG's Audit Committee Institute and our ongoing work to encourage diversity on boards. We support programs such as the Latino Corporate Directors Education Foundation’s BoardReady Institute, which is designed to prepare and position Latino executives and leaders for board service.

It’s all part of our firmwide effort to build a more inclusive workplace.
