Industries

Helping clients meet their business challenges begins with an in-depth understanding of the industries in which they work. That’s why KPMG LLP established its industry-driven structure. In fact, KPMG LLP was the first of the Big Four firms to organize itself along the same industry lines as clients.

KPMG celebrates the start of summer with seasonal perks for employees

Ahead of the start of the 2023 summer season, KPMG is awarding its employees with a wide range of benefits. A majority of these summer perks are tradition at KPMG, which is widely recognized as a great place to work and build a career.

As part of the firm’s commitment to combatting burnout, supporting its people, and providing opportunities to spend valuable time connecting with friends and family, this summer KPMG is offering:

  • Week-long, firm-wide closure: During the week of July 4th, the firm will once again have one of its two annual week-long, firm-wide closures, giving employees at least nine consecutive days to disconnect. These breaks allow employees to fully relax, recharge and spend time with family and friends by providing an extended period without many of the meetings and emails that can continue during traditional PTO.
  • Generous PTO: The twice annual firmwide closures are also a part of a holiday calendar providing approximately 16 paid holidays a year in addition to a generous PTO program to take vacations or extend holiday weekends. Based on years of service and level, employees receive between 32– 42 paid days off a year (including holidays).
  • Summer jumpstarts: Weekend ‘jumpstarts’ allow employees to end work early on Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This complements the firm’s weekly “no camera Fridays,” which aims to provide a more relaxed transition into the weekend and reduce the stress of appearing on camera.
  • Community Impact Day: The firm’s employees will also have the opportunity to spend time participating in local volunteer activities arranged by the firm in recognition of its annual Community Impact Day on August 1. This builds on the success of last year’s Community Impact Day celebrating KPMG’s 125th anniversary, which saw over 22,000 of its people came together to honor the firm’s longstanding legacy and support more than 450 nonprofits in communities across the country.
  • Firmwide mental health break: This year, the firm also offered a firmwide mental health break during Mental Health Awareness Month to collectively pause and recharge, after a session hosted by a notable mental health advocate.
