KPMG Welcomes Libby Coffin as Principal-in-Charge of the Office of Government Affairs and Public Policy

NEW YORK, June 23 ─ KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, recently welcomed Elizabeth “Libby” Coffin to the firm as the principal-in-charge of the Office of Government Affairs and Public Policy (OGAPP).

In this role, Libby will lead the OGAPP team, which is responsible for global, federal, state and local government and public policy affairs activities of the U.S. firm.

Before joining KPMG, Libby worked at Raytheon Technologies, which was created from the merger of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) and Raytheon in 2020. Most recently, she served as Vice President for Corporate and Commercial Government Relations where she supervised a bipartisan team of lobbyists focused on various priorities. 

Prior to the merger, Libby spent 13 years at UTC where she progressed through a number of increasingly senior roles, culminating in the position of Vice President for Global Tax Policy.  

Earlier in her career, Libby served in the U.S. House of Representatives as Tax Counsel on the House Ways and Means Committees and in the Office of Congressman Jim McCrery. She also worked at the U.S. Tax Court, the Council on State Taxation, and the Louisiana Department of Revenue.  Libby received her B.A. from Loyola University New Orleans, her J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law, and her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown Law Center.
