KPMG Chairman and CEO Lynne Doughtie today received the Concordia Leadership Award for the firm’s commitment to driving positive social and economic change.
The award recognizes global leaders within the public, private and nonprofit sectors who have made pioneering contributions and developed innovative solutions to the world’s most complex challenges. Recipients also demonstrate a commitment to making a difference while promoting effective public-private collaboration to create a more prosperous and sustainable future.
The award was presented in New York City at the Concordia Leadership Summit, held each year as the world turns its attention to the city during the week of the General Debate of the U.N. General Assembly. This year’s summit is bringing together diverse leaders to discuss the power of partnerships and shared value approaches when tackling pressing global issues.
In accepting the award, Doughtie highlighted the firm’s efforts to strengthen the fabric of society, particularly its efforts to fight childhood illiteracy, support lifelong learning and develop the next generation of leaders.
