Currently in the U.S., less than 5 percent of S&P 500 companies have female CEOs. To help address this issue, the KPMG Women's Leadership Summit was launched five years ago.
The KPMG Women's Leadership Summit combines two things: a discussion rooted in advancing women into key leadership roles, along with network television coverage of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship – which is one of the majors on the LPGA Tour. Through that, a bridge is built between golf and business.
At this year’s KPMG Women's Leadership Summit, we were fortunate to spend some time to discuss this topic with the first woman elected to serve as an Officer of the PGA of America, PGA President Suzy Whaley.
On this episode of In the Know, KPMG's Candace Rivera speaks with Whaley about cultivating leadership skills, the importance of board service, and elevating one another.
