KPMG voices: Celebrating our Veterans

Watch as Marine Corp Veteran and Audit Senior Manager, Joe Bergeron and Air Force Veteran and Audit’s National Technology Assurance Leader, Heather Paquette, share the ways their military service has influenced their careers and shaped their perspectives.

We are proud to support their service through a variety of benefits, and to provide the guidance they and their families need as they deploy.

Veterans @ KPMG

KPMG proudly honors our American heroes, including our own partners and employees, who have served or are active in the military. KPMG supports Veterans through enhanced military leave and family support policies, medical and financial benefits, and by partnering with exceptional veteran programs.

A few examples of these programs are listed below.

Military Spouse Group and Buddy Program

This program is a committee of the BRG and fosters an environment of inclusion that encourages the recruitment, career success, and personal and professional support of the firm’s military spouses. The program pairs individuals with a transition assistant who is a military spouse or familiar with military moves and helps to identify career opportunities for relocating spouses. This program is led by members of the KPMG Veterans BRG.

Veterans Development Day

KPMG is a participant for the Veterans Development Day with external partnerships. These organizations bring together individuals interested in participating in this development program and KPMG contributes by providing a day of workshops, resume writing sessions, and mock interviews for transitioning Veterans.

Veterans Virtual Career Fair

KPMG runs a virtual career fair led by the KPMG Talent Acquisition Team that gives candidates the opportunity to participate in one-on-one chats and open group chats with KPMG’s own Veterans, spouses of Veterans, practice professionals, experienced hire recruiters, and benefits representatives. Learn more.

Awards & recognition

Recognition by external think tanks by way of benchmarking allows us to consistently strengthen our position as an employer of choice. A few of our recent accolades include:

"Through observing strong leaders, I was able to see how the power of leadership develops people into high performers. By facing obstacles, I gained the confidence to take on new challenges and gained the belief that I can achieve whatever I set out to do. My exposure to numerous cultures gave me the opportunity to observe common bonds which has allowed me to see the world as a community and relate to others."
"I use what I learned in the service - focus and discipline - everyday in my KPMG work. It's also great to connect to other veterans of the firm - we have a bond because we've been through some of the same things."
"As I transitioned from Active Duty to the private sector nearly 14 years ago, KPMG stood out amongst our competitors then. Fast forward to the present and KPMG has expanded Veteras Benefits that are second to none. As an Army officer, the leadership training, both at the strategic level and operational level, has helped me in KPMG's Advisory Practice. I continue to serve my country as a Reservist and the KPMG leadership team fully suport my role and help balance this commitment with my KPMG duties"
